We’re looking for an enthusiastic student assistant to support the Maastricht Young Academy (MYA).

The MYA is comprised of a group of early-career scientists from Maastricht University. They work on projects and organise events based on the priorities of their community.

The position is for a minimum duration of a year, with a possibility of extension. You'll be able to work flexibly, between 2 and 8 hours a week.

Your salary will depend on the phase of your study, with an hourly wage between €17,61 and €18,10.

Responsibilities

The student assistant will primarily be responsible for communication tasks, such as managing the website and various social media platforms, writing newsletter entries, and assisting in event coordination.

You'll also assist in taking care of the mailbox, supporting the (vice-)chair, and transcribing meetings.

Requirements

The ideal candidate has a broad interest in research and education, and the willingness to learn new skills in website and newsletter editing.

You have some skills (or familiarity) with social media and strong writing skills. You back these up with an independent, proactive and enthusiastic mindset and way of working. Your written and verbal skills in the English language are excellent.

Furthermore, you are a second year (or up) bachelor or master's student at Maastricht University, with at least a year of studying ahead.
